A significant Medicare rebate and Private Health cover rebate may be available for your counselling sessions.

You do not need a referral and can access counselling simply by clicking here.

Bloom for Life Psychology does not bulk bill. Full payment is required at the time of consultation and can be paid via most credit cards or EFTPOS. If booking online a $100 deposit is required and will be deducted from your scheduled appointment.  Cheques will not be accepted.  Medicare or most Private Health Insurance rebates can be claimed at the time of payment.


Medicare Rebate for Individual Counselling

 

Bloom for Life Psychology provides counselling under the Medicare Better Access Program for clients. You may be able to access a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral from your GP, enabling you to receive a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session.

You and your GP can work together to decide whether you are eligible for this type of plan. The Medicare rebate is typically available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.


Private Health Cover

 

Counselling sessions are able to be claimed with most private health funds when you see a Psychologist. Provide your receipt to your health fund and make the relevant claim or rebates can be processed at the time of payment into your designated account. This is only applicable if you are not already using the Medicare rebate.  Please consult your private health fund for more details, as yearly limits and eligibility vary with funds and levels of cover.


Cancellation policy

 

Bloom for Life Psychology’s cancellation policy was developed knowing that when appointments are booked, the Psychologist reserves the whole hour especially for you. 

We require 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a session without incurring a cancellation fee.  This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment.

Cancellation fees:

·      Less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $50 fee
·      Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance will incur full session fee. 

We understand that sometimes you may be unable to keep an appointment because of sudden illness or an unexpected personal emergency.  If this happens to you, please contact us as soon as possible. 

Courtesy appointment reminders: Reminder text and/or emails may be sent as a courtesy; however, they do not replace the client’s responsibility to remember their appointment date and time.


Other

 

We do not undertake report writing for legal matters as part of our practice.
